My baby girl is growing up so fast. She turned 8 months old on the 25th, so I guess she’s already nearly 8 1/2 months. ~sigh~ She has done so much in this last month too. She’s now a full-blown mover. She crawls everywhere. And she cruises everywhere. She finds the stereo system stuff and the outlets before you can look twice. She can even stand alone for brief times. She’s doing so well!

Looking back at 2009, I feel proud. This year was a big year for us in several ways… some big, some small, but overall I feel our lives are better, healthier than they were in 2008. Here are some changes that happened last year.

Kinsley turned 7 months old on Monday. I cannot believe how fast this year is going! She has really grown up this last month too. She has really taken to solid foods. I didn’t do it “by the book” but just kind of as I felt like it. :) She’s gobbled up smashed bananas, avocados, lots of baby food fruits and grains mixed, and more. She loves food. She loves sucking on granny smith apples too! (See picture)

I know some people already think I’m crazy for cloth diapering, but I’m only getting crazier. :) One year ago I switched to cloth diapers with Colton. I started with Gerber prefolds and diaper pins. Then I got a snappi and a few covers. And then for my birthday I bought myself 12 BumGenius 3.0 pockets. And then it began. I started CDing to save money, for the trash factor, and because CD kids potty train faster. But it has been so fun for me, its actually become quite a passion, and if I let it, I could spend so much money on the "fun" of it. :) I LOVE it!
So, about becoming crazier…

This past week we had the girls’ 6 month and 4 year well-checks, so its stat time again! Haley weighs 42.5 lbs and is in the 89th% for her weight. She is 42.25" tall and is in the 94th% for her height. She’s my tall girl, but its interesting how she started out the smallest at 5 lb 8 oz. Kinsley is 14 lbs 15 oz, and is in the 22nd% for her weight. She is 25.25" long, which is the 24th%. Both girls are healthy and doing great. I just can’t believe they’re that old already. We are still watching Kinsley’s head growth though, as the craniosynostosis could still worsen. We’ll recheck it in a month. She also has some eczema, so we got a cream for that. They’re doing great though! Here’s a picture of my two sweet girls.

Our apologies for the blog website being so off and on lately. We have moved it to another server. We lost some comments in the process, but hopefully this will fix all the problems. Let us know if you have any issues…

Wow, it makes me want to cry just thinking over the last four years. We moved to McKinney when I was nearly full-term with Haley. Our lives have changed and grown so much in the last four years. They have been wonderful, Haley. We love you so much, sweet little girl. The memories of having her and her alone are precious. We had no clue how to parent! Still don’t, but we’re learning. :) Walk with me over the last four years a bit…

She loved to share her animals with Colton as a baby… and she hasn’t changed. Haley loves to share with Kinsley too. :) Ok, I’m tired of looking. I can’t find the photo of Colton covered in stuffed animals in his exersaucer, but I did find one of Haley sharing her animals with Josh (he was asleep)!
